The Abbeyfield W-S-M Society is a not for profit charity with over 40 years experience of providing accommodation for older people. We are dedicated to making the lives of older people easier and more fulfilling by offering a high quality of independent living in affordable family sized houses located in residential areas close to local amenities.
Choosing the right place to live is an important decision at any time of life, but it can often seem more challenging the older we get. We take pride in offering you straightforward advice and the opportunity to sample the Abbeyfield way of life to help you to make the best decision.
What We Offer
Sheltered Houses
- Privacy, support and security in good quality affordable family sized houses
- Your own private room, most with en-suite facilities
- Larger rooms can accommodate couples
- Free to come and go as you please
- Support of a resident House Manager who looks after your general welfare and provides a home from home environment
- All household expenses and two meals a day are included in the charges
- A call alarm system
- Attractive gardens for all to enjoy
- Our own minibus which is regularly used for shopping trips and outings
Residential Care
For those who require more support, we provide a professional standard of 24 hour care in Eastfield Park, an 18 bed registered residential care home located in a quiet private road, within fairly easy reach of the town centre, local shops and transport services. The home has been rated as 'Excellent' by the Care Quality Commission.
